Published: 19/11/2014

In the project “Sino-European Partnership on Low Carbon and Sustainable Urban Development”, Ecofys analysed and compared low carbon strategies and policy instruments of Chinese and German cities. The project, funded by Stiftung Mercator aims to foster the cooperation between China, Germany and the EU and is jointly realised by Germanwatch and E3G.

This study analyses the low carbon activities of the four cities, Bonn, Duisburg and their Chinese partner city Chengdu and Wuhan. The resulting assessments are used to develop policy recommendations for the respective cities, highlighting best practice and lessons to be learnt from the other cities. Please click below to download the study.
