Responsibilities

Navigant’s Transportation / Mobility team brings together industry-leading research, extensive industry experience, and consulting expertise to help our clients navigate the evolving transition to a clean, sustainable transportation and mobility future. We support market actors across the ecosystem, including utilities & energy providers, automakers, equipment manufacturers, service providers, and governments in developing disruptive transportation and mobility products and services. 

This position involves working directly with clients and part of a dynamic Navigant team to develop strategic plans, business cases, digital strategy, cost/benefit analysis and implementation support while also limiting risk. This is a highly challenging position that draws heavily upon all the analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills essential to effective regulatory and general strategy consulting.

 

Additionally, this position will require cultivating a network of electrified transportation stakeholders and major players.

 

Project responsibilities include: 

  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously within budget and schedule.
  • Participating in proposal development and the business development of emobility in Europe.
  • Leading teams for projects requiring multiple resources.
  • Preparing and presenting analysis, reports, and other documents for internal and/or external client use.
  • Mentoring and managing junior staff.

Project scope for the position may include:

  • Strategic corporate and regulatory planning
  • Business case and financial pro forma development.
  • Emerging technology diffusion (e.g., automated driving, shared mobility, smart charging)
  • Cost-effectiveness analysis of transportation options in context of utility regulations and business environment and requirements
  • Uncertainty and risk analysis
  • Integration of transportation into energy markets and programs, including energy efficiency, renewable energy, demand response, and smart grid

 

Qualifications 

Requirements:

  • Auto industry or mobility service industry experience in a product development and management or market research role, with preference for electrified transportation experience.
  • Energy industry experience, particularly with a utility or other energy provider, a plus.
  • 3-5 years of strategic and/or management consulting experience.
  • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in multiple languages (English, French, German and/or Italian desired).
  • Proposal writing experience including budget development and managing proposal timeline with a variety of subject matter experts providing input
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, Public Policy, or related fields. Masters degree preferred.
  • Able to travel to client sites across Europe and potentially internationally
  • Familiarity working with the latest collaborative software platforms and tools that facilitate team collaboration through cloud computing.
