Ecofys has a well-functioning and steadily growing international Sustainable Power and Fuels (SPF) cluster currently employing over 80 staff located in various major cities.

For our team in Sofia, we are now looking for a:


Consultant Renewable Energy (F/M)

Our client base in Bulgaria is quickly developing, especially under our SPF cluster activities.

We are looking for someone who is able to connect to the exciting world of renewable energy in Bulgaria and beyond like South Eastern Europe with further development opportunities.

 

The position

Our candidate has both the professional and personal capacities to contribute to the growth of our wind and bio-energy activities in Bulgaria. You have between 2 up to 5 years of relevant work experience in the wind and/or bio-energy (related) industry with a commercial and pro active attitude. You will be responsible for execution of feasibility studies, impact studies and permit applications, and related work for commercial clients such as project developers, banks, financial institutions and (local) authorities. You will be able to present Ecofys in your network, in front of clients and partners and in co-operation with international Ecofys wind experts.

 

Your profile

  • Scientific academic background (Engineering, Physics)
  • Working level in natural sciences or energy technology, with experience and a feeling for operating within a commercial environment
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in renewable energy, either project development or consultancy
  • Knowledge of wind energy and/or bio-energy developments both from a technical and process point of view
  • A relevant network in Bulgaria, preferably sector oriented such as project developers, authorities, utilities, banks, consultants would be preferred
  • Potential to develop further commercial attitude and entrepreneurial skills in identifying and seizing opportunities in a competitive market place
  • Strong analytical skills, solution oriented approach
  • Excellent (verbal and written) communication and presentation skills, both in Bulgarian and in English.
