Offshore Discipline Engineer Wind Energy (32-40 hrs/week)
The position
Ecofys is providing offshore services for its customer Scira Offshore Energy Ltd. Scira is a joint venture company formed between Norske Hydro, SLP Energy and Ecoventures to develop the Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm.
In order to achieve planning consent and successfully develop the Sheringham Shoal Wind Farm, we are forming a team of offshore engineers with the following disciplines:
- Geotechnical and wind turbine foundations
- Offshore cabling and cable burial
- Contracting & tenders
- Offshore Operations & Logistics
- Electrical Engineering
- Maintenance
- Health, Safety % Environment (HSE)
Your profile
We are looking for an energetic, creative and enthusiastic engineer (m/f). Our ideal candidate combines:
- Masters degree in a related discipline
- 10 to 15 years working experience in Project Engineering
- Offshore experience required, subsea experience is a definite plus
- Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff
- EU work permit
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Self-motivated and commercially observant
- Sensitive to social and cultural differences
- Enthusiastic and committed
- Committed to actual delivery of process and policy into the business, not just a theoretician, someone with a “hands on” attitude
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills combined with energy and charisma
- Challenge and results-orientated with a flexible and analytical approach to problem solving
