Ecofys Poland is currently looking for:

MODELLING SOFTWARE ENGINEERS

Location: Poznan

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • developing custom made software by requirements analysis, specifying, designing, programming, implementing, testing and documenting;
  • meeting with colleagues and customers to support and advise them to realize goals in an effective and efficient way;
  • supporting and advising during the proposal and pre-development phase of development work;
  • staying up-to-date with developments in the field of software engineering and applying this knowledge to the advantage of Econcern;

 

We require:

  • Master degree in science (you do not have to have a degree in computer science);
  • Oral and written command of English;
  • Knowledge and experience with one or more of the following technologies:
    • Programming languages: Java, Matlab, Visual Basic, PHP, ASP, JSP, Flash,
    • Database systems: SQL Server, OLAP, Access, MySQL
    • Web servers: Tomcat, IIS,
    • CMS systems: Adobe Contribute, Joomla, 
    • Other: MapInfo, HTML, XML, Flash, Google Maps API and JavaScript
  • Experience with Open Source software;
  • Experience with constructing user’s interfaces based on WWW;
  • An understanding of energy transfer, energy technologies and industrial processes with its consequences for the environment;
  • Experience with GIS (Geographic Information System) will be advantageous;
