(Junior) Consultant Industrial Energy and Carbon Efficiency

The cluster Energy and Climate Strategies of Ecofys is working on analysis and strategic advice in four main areas: technology and innovation; energy and climate policy evaluation and design; energy market developments and climate change. The international cluster has a multidisciplinary staff of 90 people.

(Junior) Consultant Industrial Energy and Carbon Efficiency

(m/f; 32-40 hours/week)

The Position

Climate change is one of the major environmental issues related to the global energy system. In response to the global concern about climate change, governments developed often unprecedented policy instruments to enhance energy and carbon efficiency in the industrial sector. Industrial companies are increasingly aware of the threats and opportunities of climate change and related policies for their businesses. Ecofys has many years of experience supporting governments in the design and evaluation of industrial energy and climate policies and assisting companies in developing successful carbon energy and carbon efficiency strategies. As consultant industrial energy efficiency you will support governments and corporate clients in the above-mentioned subject areas. Depending on your experience and background, you will start either as junior consultant or as consultant. Junior consultants are expected to grow towards the medior consultant position, leading projects independently.

Your profile

Our ideal candidate combines solid technical and analytical skills with interest in energy and climate policies for the industrial sector. You have a university degree in natural or environmental sciences and proven knowledge about industrial energy use. For the position as consultant, you have demonstrated experience in the field of climate change and / or energy efficiency. You are a team player and have excellent communication skills. You feel comfortable working in projects and meeting tight deadlines both in terms of time and budget. You have a good knowledge and command of the English and Dutch language. You will be based at our Utrecht office.
