Ecofys is providing offshore services for several costumers. In order to achieve quality services we are forming an offshore team. For this offshore team we are searching for an:
SCADA Engineer
The position
The person appointed will be responsible to coordinate SCADA design and installation for wind farm development projects.
- Lead engineer in SCADA system requirement definition and design for wind farm developments.
- Direct vendor evaluation of SCADA system selection process in conjunction with the Executive Director Construction, Director of Power Systems Engineering, Construction Project Manager, and Site Operations Manager, Director of Power Systems Engineer.
- Primary point of contact for SCADA system vendors for all system design requirement issues, installation and warranty support.
- Coordinate with Construction Project Manager and Construction Site Manager for smooth installation and commissioning of SCADA system.
- Provide ongoing technical support and direction for Site Operations Manager(s) regarding SCADA systems implementation, troubleshooting, etc.
- Support Asset Manager with refining and interpreting SCADA data affecting
Your profile
We are looking for an energetic, creative and enthusiastic engineer (m/f). Our ideal candidate combines:
- Commercial SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system design and implementation experience from related industries such as wind power, oil and gas, hydro electricity, water departments and more.
- 5+ year’s relevant experience in electronic control systems (preferably SCADA) in power, wind, gas, water, shipboard or similar complex systems.
- Knowledge of communication protocols and standards.
- Analog/digital controls and metering device installation, test, calibration and modification experience.
- SCADA requirement definition, interviewing, data research and problem solving methodologies.
- Excellent problem solving skills and composure in a fast paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written customer communications skills.
- Network layout experience utilizing AutoCAD.
