Health & Safety Engineer Offshore

Ecofys is providing offshore services for several costumers. In order to achieve quality services we are forming a wind energy inspection group which is to serve internal and external clients by undertaking inspection of operational wind farms, factory inspections and construction site inspections.

For this offshore team we are seeking for an:

Health & Safety Engineer Offshore

The position

The person appointed will be responsible for inspection, assessment, investigation and enforcement of process safety issues on offshore wind energy installations. Your technical advice will provide a sound basis for employers to set and maintain their own appropriate safety standards.

  • Create basic standard HSE plans for the company and each project.
  • Provide expert advice on health and safety matters to project managers and other employers etc.
  • Make and advise on health, safety, emergency and contingency plans according to requirements from government agencies.
  • Risk analysis with respect to health and safety issues.
  • Carry out inspections and audits.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents and complaints as part of a team or individually.
  • Make technical contribution to the development of industry standards and guidance.
  • Assess safety cases, drawing conclusions as to their adequacy and acceptability in terms of process safety.

Your profile

We are looking for an energetic, creative and enthusiastic engineer (m/f). Our ideal candidate combines:

  • You are a chartered engineer (or equivalent) with substantial experience in an offshore environment.
  • Relevant post graduate engineering experience in the wind energy or offshore oil and gas or petrochemical industries.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the hazards affecting the safe design and operation of process plant, plus knowledge and understanding of the function and operation of process safety equipment and management systems.
  • Knowledge and experience of relevant engineering codes and standards.
  • Knowledge on health and safety rules and regulations
