Ecofys study for Allianz and WWF compares climate policies of G8
July 2008 – Since climate policies are on the top of the agenda of the annual G8 summit (7-9 July 08) in Hokkaido, Japan, Allianz and WWF commissioned Ecofys to examine and compare efforts against climate change of the G8 countries. The Ecofys study "G8 Climate Scorecards 2008" presents an overview of the implemented and planned measures aiming to counteract climate change. To download the report, click here

Ecofys wins Erasmus Innovation Award 2008
June 2008 – Ecofys, part of sustainable energy company Econcern, is announced winner of the Erasmus Innovation Award. The award was won during the INSCOPE “Research for Innovation” congress in Rotterdam.

New report available: Factors Underpinning Future Action
June 2008 - In this report Ecofys presents an approach to share the energy and climate related targets between EU Member States simultaneously. The method includes the EU’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction target (-20% or 30% in 2020), the renewable target (20% by 2020), and the energy efficiency target (20% better than reference by 2020) as well as the EU Emission Trading Scheme.

Ecofys and Growind sign long term contract for wind power forecasting
April 2008 - April 18th Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands opened the new wind farm Growind in Eemshaven. Ecofys has signed an 8 year contract for wind power forecasting with Growind. For the press release, click here.
