Greenhouse gas reduction roadmap for Thailand

Published: 08/07/2016

This report is part of a project to assist the implementation of the Thailand Climate Change Master Plan by developing a clear roadmap for reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in three industrial sub-sectors: palm oil, automotive parts and frozen seafood.

In the roadmap, Ecofys identifies emissions reduction pathways for each sub-sector and recommends individual short-, mid- and long-term actions. The roadmap aims to enable policymakers and other stakeholders to reduce the implementation barriers to emission abatement options, and achieve reductions in GHG emissions, while taking into account wider socio-economic impacts.

Implementing the roadmap recommendations would deliver approximately 3-5 Mt CO2e emissions reductions across the three sub-sectors analysed.

The report is available by download.
