Landlust - Renovation
Renovation of the monumental apartment buildings ‘Koningsvrouwen van Landlust’
The renovation of the residential buildings in the project ‘Koningsvrouwen van Landlust’ has been an exceptional challenge. The owner, housing association Eigen Haard from Amsterdam, had set high targets with respect to: participation of tenants in the process, sustainability, respect for historic value, modern construction standards and vitality of the neighbourhood. The ambition for energy was to achieve the A-label, which is quite unique for social housing in a historic building.
Ecofys has contributed to the project by participating in the design and construction team. The responsibility of Ecofys was to design the energy concept and to safeguard the ambition on for energy during the design and implementation phase. Furthermore, Ecofys also studied the consequences of the concept for the indoor climate and researched the optimization of HVAC-control. Furthermore, Ecofys managed the application and administration of various grants and licenses related to the HVAC-systems and finally Ecofys supported the client in price negotiations for the special components of the HVAC-systems.
In 2012, the project has been awarded with ‘De Gulden Feniks’ award in the category Renovation. Previously in 2011, the project had already been rewarded by the city of Amsterdam with the 'Groene Speld'.
